I finally got word from my ISP: wrong pppoe login credentials.
Somehow the reboot of my opnsense messed up my pppoe user login, password.
Maybe this is helpful for someone else in the future.

Hello everyone,
I have an urgent problem. I already posted about it some time ago at the following link. https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=43935

The error has now occurred again, and I can no longer get online.
The initial situation is that I restarted OPNsense over the weekend and then lost my internet connection.

I have tried the following steps:
- Restarting OPNsense
- Restarting the modem beforehand

When that didn't work, I

- reinstalled the firewall via USB stick, version 25.7
- then imported my last configuration via opnsense-importer
- after restarting, there is still no PPPOE connection.
- I also reinstalled the firewall a second time. The error still persists.

The following messages are displayed on the CLI during bootup:

generic_netmap_attach - Emulated adapter for pppoe0 created
generic_netmap_dtor - Emulated adapter for pppoe0 destroyed
generic_netmap_attach - Emulated adapter for pppoe0 created
generic_netmap_dtor - Emulated adapter for pppoe0 destroyed
generic_netmap_attach - Emulated adapter for pppoe0 created
generic_netmap_dtor - Emulated adapter for pppoe0 destroyed
generic_netmap_attach - Emulated adapter for pppoe0 created
generic_netmap_register - Emulated adapter for pppoe0 activated

Still no connection!

Hallo zusammen,

aktuell läuft bei mir OPNsense in Version 25.7.2-amd64. Der Fehler allerdings zieht sich schon durch mehrere Vorgängerversionen inkl. der aktuellen Version.
Der Fehler tritt rückblickend immer häufiger auf, in Abstand von mehreren Monaten.

Das Fehlerbild:
Ich bin mit meinem Netzwerk verbunden, habe aber keine Internetverbindung.

Aktuelle Fehlerbehebung:
- zu Beginn habe ich jedes Mal die Firewall komplett neu installiert und eine Sicherung der Konfig eingespielt. (mit sehr viel Arbeit verbunden)
- zum derzeitigen Zeitpunkt verwende ich das Community Plugin "Auto Recovery". Mit diesem habe ich nun schon 2x das System wiederherstellen können, da ein manuelles Hinzufügen des Gateways nicht funktioniert hat.


Ist dieses Problem bekannt und / oder wird schon an einer Fehlerbehebung gearbeitet?

Hi there,

i do want to switch from pfsense to opnsense and playing around with my test-system.
Initial Installation works fine. After setting up my vlan-pppoe connection and interface no connection can be established.

During Bootup i get the following Error on my wan-Interface:

attempt to domain_add(netgraph) after domainfinalize


Any idea how to fix that?
