23.1 Legacy Series / "Fatal trap 12: page fault while in kernel mode" after update to 23.1.8

I initially thought this might have been related to me enabling the zabbix and snmp plugins, but i removed both of them and this issue persists. I've had it happen after pressing install on a plugin, after trying to load a webpage, and just on its own when i restarted the opnsense box and just looked at it for a while.
In a somewhat silly fashion, I checked if it was a failing ssd (it wasn't) before i thought of trying the previous kernel version from the boot menu, which I'm running now and so far haven't ran into a page fault (yet!).
I've got an issue where some dns requests are incredibly slow - seconds - and have websites loading for ~15s or firefox giving me a bad cert error for a website for a couple refreshes for ~15s before it starts working again, I toggled my transparent squid cache because i thought that might be the issue with websites, but it isn't, and i haven't messed with unbound for a while not so it's not that either.
I'm also having an issue where the ipv6 wan is not reliably route-able anymore even though it shows as online, but I'm pretty sure that is an unrelated (but still opnsense) issue. After quite a few hours, I think these issues were all somehow caused by firewall syncookies no more of those I guess
