I am trying to setup an DHCP relay over an OpenVPN tun tunnel (client). When I setup the DHCP relay on the same box as the OpenVPN tunnel, it will not relay the DHCP request over the VPN tunnel.
In my testing, I setup a second OPNsense box on the client side and enabled DHCP relaying. This box successfully sends the DHCP relay requests over the VPN.
I am trying to figure out why DHCP Relay isn't working when setup on the same box as the OpenVPN client. Would anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? Thank you for any help.
