Here the same problem.

Only can't open c-icap.conf file for workaround: Error opening/parsing config file is spitting @ me.

Wow, it just needed the weekend I guess. Or maybe myself. Restarted the FTU, removed pending WAN, rebooted et voila, fini, c'est vivant! Wat een gedoe om niks. It works.

Ok, I've done an ipconfig -a and saved that before swap so I have the MAC address and spoofed it an hour ago but still no extern IP on WAN. The ISP does tie the MAC address but they untie it after an hour they said. My Edgerouter got it direct, but I suppose they know that one already.
I will try it again in the weekend.
Thanks guys!

Hi, have been running OpnSense 23.1 virtualized for a few months in a homelab testsetting with Proxmox. Worked great.

But after replacing mobo and cpu for obvious security reasons (had it first running on 14 years old hardware), the Intel NIC 2 ports x540 is not getting a WAN IP address from ISP anymore. LAN interface works, I can handle my whole LAN network, but WAN gateway also gets an intern ip address or don't get an address at all.

I'm using the onboard mobo LAN for Proxmox and NAS. The 2 ports Intel x540 NIC only for OPNSense. Re-assigned the interfaces and installed it fresh again. OPNSense WAN port is directly connected to bridged fiber ftu. LAN port goes to managed switch.

Can someone give me some directions to resolve this pls.

Appreciate the help!
