I was able to get into the GUI once I changed the Lan IP address it says it's applying changes and lost connection to the computer, the power is still on so I try the new IP address and it will not load, try rebooting it still no GUI at the new address? I found a windows PC has a range for IPs is that a possibility?

You were right the fresh install did the trick, I'm on the GUI, now I have to read up on this.

The interfaces have been reset, no it's Lan A0, A1, A2, and WAN A3. No connection to it on LAN A0. Connect it to home router on WAN A3, still no LAN connection.. rebooting now no LAN connection. LAN address is 192.168.1.1,

Yes it sets the LAN first, I set A1, A2, A3 not A0, then it asks me to set the WAN that's is A0. So the LAN is supposed to be first? Then that would make the WAN A3? If I set it up
That way.

The WAN is set to plug label A0, that was and is the input from the mean router. LAN's are A1, A2, A3, unfortunately I just get no response from ip 192.168.1.1 on the LAN A1 or the other two. My PC has both DHCP and IPV4 on. Could you recommend a good book on networking?

My network:

Home router> switch > opnsense > windows PC

With the first install of opnsense 23.1 I wasn't able to load the GUI on the LAN 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.0, with my windows pc. Then I rebooted it same issue again. Next I set the Lan to 10.10.10.1 and was unable to open the GUI at that address as well. Next I rebooted the upstream router no improvement. Next I rebooted both the upstream router and the opnsense PC, no GUI, just to be sure I reinstalled opnsense. That didn't fix it, setting my CR1000 the upstream router to bridge mode just crashed it, no I'm with a new install with the Wan set to A0 and the Lan A1-3, automatic ip settings. There is an internet connection to the Opnsense PC I can ping it's console.

After more testing it's a double Nat issue, the router required by ISP has the same default Lan address. Can another router be added in between them be used to solve the issue? And yes I tried changing the Lan IP on the opnsense firewall. Still no Lan connection

The OPNsense is installed on a mini PC with 4 Ethernet ports. I can boot it and use the video out on it to see that I have internet to it and an Ip address. No Lan connection from it but it shows the IP I set?
