23.1 Legacy Series / Surfshark Wireguard (lan client) crashing OPNsense
« on: March 14, 2023, 03:44:04 pm »
Hello everyone, I've been using OPNsense for a few months now and have really been enjoying it.
I'm currently on OPNsense 23.1.3-amd64
I came across an issue a day ago while using Surfsharks Wireguard VPN on a lan computer. It has no problem connecting and the speeds are excellent on my gigabit fiber network.
However, after a few minutes of being enabled, I loose all internet system wide. Disconnecting doesn't fix this.
The firewal becomes completely inaccessible, not giving out any local DHCP leases. I can't ping it, even from a static local IP. I end up having to physically reboot it to get it to work again.
I'm not sure how a Wireguard client is taking down OPNsense as I don't see anything in the logs.
I do have OpenVPN configured but I don't see how that would cause this issue.
Please let me know if you have any ideas and/or need any logs or configurations.
