Tutorials and FAQs / Separate routing tables

Hello,
I'm having some problems defining routing tables. I have used Centos before for openvpn and now I want to configure a routing table in order to be able to redirect traffic.
In centos I was defining the routing table in /etc/iproute2/rt table then I have created 2 file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scrips (rule-eth1 and route-eth1)
As far as have read before I can manage that with single gateway but I can't find any related documentation.
Can anyone help me in this matter or provide documentation ?
