Ik ken de apparatuur die je gebruikt niet, maar ondersteunt de DecoM5 ook vlans? Zo ja, dan is de managed switch misschien minder nodig. Echter het lijkt me niet handig om dan eerst naar je connectbox te gaan en dan weer terug naar opnsense om dan vervolgens weer naar buiten via de connectbox te gaan. Volgens mij zit hier dan iets niet helemaal jofel in je infra plaatje.
Wat John ook al aangaf, koop een goedkope managed switch met vlan support. Hang die aan je LAN kant van je opnsense.

Ik was benieuwd of anderen dit probleem ook hebben, of dat ik misschien verkeerde verwachtingen heb...

In de logging (live view) van de firewall kan je achter een gelogde regel op de info knop klikken. Hier zit een RID (Rule ID?) in. Zodra ik op deze knop klikt dan opent ie een nieuw tabblad, echter gebeurt er dan niets meer. Ik had eigenlijk verwacht dan op de pagina te komen van de firewall rule, of wel de interface waar de rule op staat.

Have you had any chance of testing this out?

I bought one of those HSIPC J4125 before, but send it back because it would throttle the CPU when there was any activity and the temperature would go up to a 100 degrees Celcius. The build quality is not very amazing. I read that you can get it to cool better by applying some new cooling paste and stuff, but I have not bothered. I rather pay a little bit more for a decent box.

I have seen some similar posts around this, although I don't know if they're equal to my problem. They all seem to have lower download than upload speeds though. Never seen a solution to this. I am using one of the protectli boxes: VP2410 – 4 Port Intel ® J4125

It seems that on the interface without vlans, the performance is normal. Do vlans have such a heavy performance penalty?

I have exactly the same issue. I get 940+ speeds when opnsense is the server, when opnsense is the client, I only get speeds from 700-750. Anybody has any idea why this would happen?
