I set up the OPNsense firewall (DEC2700 series) using the wizard. After that I configured the interfaces, system settings and such, but nothing fancy yet. When looking at the Unbound DNS statistics I can now see several queries to non-existing NTP servers, like:

2.opnsense.pool.ntp.org.mijndomein.nl                    135 (6.86%)
0.opnsense.pool.ntp.org.mijndomein.nl                    132 (6.70%)

I would expect queries to be directed at:

2.opnsense.pool.ntp.org
0.opnsense.pool.ntp.org

Is this 'as intended' or is NTP resolving the wrong DNS names by unintendedly adding my local domain, as specified under 'System - Settings - General - Domain'?

Count me in too!!

I have been breaking my head over this one for a few days now, without good result. I also found that adding Proxy Protocol verions 1 or 2 on the back-end and 'source 0.0.0.0 usesrc clientip' on the Option pass-through field of the back-end should do it, but no cigar so far.
