Not sure what you mean with this?

Its a blank machine, and i just downloaded the Image described in the first posting which i then put on a USB Stick to install OPNsense from it. Which is BSD based so...BSD ?

I tried both variants:

set kern.vty="sc"
set kern.vty=sc

tried each on separate boot attempts, then typing boot. Still stuck at the same screen as in my first post.
Boot menu is loading, i press space, then option 3 or ESC to get into the commandline and then typing one of those commands above pressing enter and then boot and enter.

No worky.

Tried two different sticks now. One USB3, one USB2. Both setupped via USB3 and USB2. No change, same as in the first post. Keeps hanging at "Booting". Don't know what else i could do. Already enabled Legacy Boot as well as UEFI (no CSM Option in BIOS to deactivate).

All HP "security features" have been disabled each step by step but no luck so far.

I'll try it although i don't think it will help. Had the same problem with PFsense (also BSD based). I feel like there is an issue with the bootloader and the HP Mainboard.

Installed two different other OSes already from that stick.

Hi everyone,

i have requisitioned myself an "HP ProDesk 400 G6 MT, Core i5-9500, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD" and plugged a Intel two-port NIC into it for testing purposes.

I can not install OPNsense onto this machine, it is always stuck at the "Booting" Screen. Image was prepped on a USB Drive via Rufus "OPNsense-21.1-OpenSSL-vga-amd64.img".

Could anyone give me a hint on what i am doing wrong ? Pic is attached.

Best Regards,
Ben
