Now is it only to solve the problem to get prefix from provider on IPV6

23.1 Legacy Series / Re: IPv6 issue?
March 27, 2023, 12:31:06 AM
They change something since 23.1 my friend dont get any prefix from provider.
But no one do anything about it i think, because there ar so many ways to deligate
prefix it depend on what equipment the provider have, so for some it works the rest not
I dont think there is so many that use IPV6 so that could be why it dont have any priority
to be fixed.

I think its fantastic they push out update after update say they solved problems but in
all updates they fix problems, they also destroy things that working, how should it be
if you do some testing before push out update. Now there is more problems with IPV6
Client dont get any IP, You dont get any prefix from provider.......
With all your respect i really dont understand this.

You also have to set a range in >SERVICES: DHCPV6: [LAN]
that is in your subnet range

""""This is just an example you have to calculate your own""""
Subnet:            2001:9b1:eff:4300::
Avalible range:  2001:9b1:eff:4300:: - 2001:9b1:eff:4300:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
Range from:      2001:9b1:eff:4300:192:168:1:100 Range to: 2001:9b1:eff:4300:192:168:1:200

22.7 Legacy Series / Re: ipv6 wireguard Nat help
August 04, 2022, 11:54:12 AM
Thx Greelan

I know know what cause this problem.
Mobile phones need to talk (Stateless DHCPv6 and SLAAC (O+A flags).
I use Managed (Stateful DHCPv6 (M+O flags)

DHCPv6-Prefix Delegation. It result in each client receiving a Link Local from a
DHCPv6 server rather than a single IP address

If i use Stateless it works fine and it then use multiple addresses from its prefix
So there is nothing wrong with OPNsense its my configuration that i use since i have
Static IPV4/IPV6 addresses on my internal network, and i also have a static IPV4/IPV6 address
from my ISP.

Sorry to say this but it still problems with IPV6 not fixed with the patch
And i revert to 22.1 and have take a closer  look at the IPV6 and the problem is the same
the only different is that it dont pop up at the console it got blocked in firewall instead
this applies only my mobile phones all servers and pc works fine

The revert to 22.1.10 it went well no more messages at consol
back to normal again.

I hope the issue with IPV6 problem in 22.7 will be fixed in the future

August 03, 2022, 05:20:41 PM
Is it possible to revert back to 22.1?
with this command <# opnsense-update -kr 22.1
or should it be <# opnsense-revert -kr 22.1

and then upd to 22.1.10?
