I am new to using OPNsense, and finally got everything setup and working. I noticed that the CPU was using 20-25% CPU. I changed the CPU allocation to the VM from 20 cores to 10. The CPU utilization for the host was cut in half, but OPNsense still reported 20-25% CPU usage. So I tried halving it again and the same results happened.
It seems that OPNsense is using a constant 20-25% CPU no matter how many cores are allocated??
What could be causing this behavior? During the initial install, this was not the case. Once I enabled and configured the interfaces to bypass my ATT RG and setup some services, then I noticed the issue. So I disabled all services and rebooted and the issue persists. I am not sure what the issue could be? Any help is appreciated.
