Hi,

Got an update.
Updated the firmware from 20.1 to 20.7.
That stage of error passed, however now it's booting
But again goes to crash just after giving the lan ip for the web console.
Error says script command reset returned error.
I am trying to get it up and running not sure how it's resetting itself post boot.

Anu suggestions to get this up and running?

Have installed opnsense 20.1 successfully.
But it's not booting.
It's getting stuck at one error
It waits for mounting of usubus4 and then goes to Panic.
Tried complete format of hdd and resetting bios to defaults.
Re-installing still no luck.
Single user boot too fails.
Seeking help to get it up and running.

It was a hardware issue .
I was using front USB ports to install opnsense.
when tried to install with back usb ports it worked.

Yes it just gets frozen there in the screenshot attached above.
i do have memory cards sandisk class 10, but no usb's :P

I have tried updating BIOS and re-setting it to default.
and while trying to install opnsesne 20.7, there is an error
USB vanished.

Hi friends,

I am trying to install opsense 20.7 on my old pc.
Gigabyte ga 946gmx s2
Core 2duo e4500
4gb ram
160gb hdd
Intel nic card gigabit one with 2 ports

I have tried to install with nano,serial and vga
All of them are failing to install.
I dont get a blue screen to install
It boots from usb
Then I get that opnsense image
It starts to boot automatically after some time
There's a black screen with device vanished
Not sure if I am missing anything here.

Error:uhhub_reattach_port:giving up port reset - device vanished

Seeking help
Its for home use non commercial
Trying to learn and setup opnsense.
