Tutorials and FAQs / Accessing web management from eth0 and eth3
« on: December 23, 2018, 07:15:28 pm »
Hi. I apologize if this has been answered already, I attempted several searches but don't think I know the correct nomenclature for what I am attempting to do.
My firewall has three NICs, eth0-3, eth0 is my LAN port with 192.168.1.1\24 and I want eth3 to be a backup web management interface in case something goes wrong with eth0.
I assigned eth3 the name "Management" with the IP of 192.168.1.7/24 and made a firewall rule to pass any traffic to any source from Management to any interface, but I can't ping 192.168.1.7, and I can't access web management from my Mac by typing 192.168.1.7 in the browser.
What am I doing wrong?
