Web Proxy Filtering and Caching / How to apply web filter to individual rules at LAN rule in OPNsense
« on: July 02, 2018, 10:46:13 am »
Guys, i've been searching topics in opnsense forum on how to apply web filter to certain individual rules at LAN rule but fail. Bare with me that i'm new to opnsense and any guidance and assistance deeply appriciated. My opnsense version is OPNsense 18.1.6-i386.

Been play around opnsense for newbie like me i found
1. You can create alias that represent your group and use cidr ip range inside the alias
2. You can create LAN rule and set which source e.g alias that you'd created, protocol, destination and gateway
3. Web filter/proxy (either normal/transparent) for default config is implemented to LAN net, we can decide which ip range(with cidr) to be banned or unrestricted. That's where we can determine which ip add/user is under filter/proxy - assume the same concept to apply web filter to certain user/group.
I am open to any suggestion or comments.
