yes it can!

I remember some times ago, I modified freebsd configuration and I obtained 192.168.100.2 for the server instead of 192.168.100.1

example:
I setup wan interface with my provides
pppoe client with userid and passord
my provides gives me the public ip address (and it's ok) and set the ip address to it
for example: my ip 79.79.79.79 - my provider 192.168.100.1
I want to change its ip address from 192.168.100.1 in something else for example 192.168.100.2

ok?

When I make a wan pppoe connection, my address is ok, but I'd like to force the server pppoe to have a different ip address
is it possibile to make the setting via GUI or I have to modify a config file via shell?

17.7 Legacy Series / which vpn to use?
October 25, 2017, 05:21:12 PM
I have a strange network:
a lot of machines have fixed ip addresses on ethernet interface with different gateway (we have a lot of internet connections, some machines go to internet with a router, others with other router etc), some have dhcp address and other machines don't have gateway address, only ip and netmask

I need to configure a vpn server, so that I can access the lan, when I'm outside
which vpn server to use?
I need to connect from linux notebook, android smartphone and sometimes windows 7 professional

the lan is 192.168.0.0/16 (not /24) a /24 is too small, there's for example a pc with 90 ip address..

Up to now I used a cisco to go in, but I'd like to switch to opensource

please help
thanks
