23.7 Legacy Series / Update to 23.7 ovpn fixed ips gone
September 22, 2023, 08:22:53 AM
Hi all,

after the update to 23.7 the ifconfig-push settings in the client specific overrides in the openvpn settings are not working anymore. How can I now set static IPs to the ovpn clients?
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Max

Hi all,
we're running 20.7 as a ovpn server and it works like a charm. Now we want to set up a second ovpn server with many hundreds of ovpn clients. All of them should always get the same IP.
Is there a way to have a table or so to get it done instead of using client specific overrides as that would be quite a bit of work, to write all these overrides?
Thanks, regards, Max

Dear all,
is there a way, to insert in the OVPN - Server settings, that the IPv4 tunnel network is bigger than CIDR/24 i.e.
10.10.0.1/20 ? I want to connect more than 250 clients with fixed IPs...
when I try to save, it says The field 'IPv4 Tunnel Network' must contain a single valid ipv4 CIDR range.
Thanks,
Max

Dear Franco,
# opnsense-update -es
helped, could get to the GUI again and set up a new system with a decent disk space after I've downloaded the backup.
THANKS!

After I've updated to 18.1
I have the following problem
/dev/ufs/OPNsense0   1864602 1849048 -133614   108%    /
write failed, filesystem is full is stated several times, when opnsense tries to load the config.
How can I increase filesystem file without destroying the backup.
I have no backup on my clients and no online backup :-[
Can anyone please guide me?
Thanks in advance and regards

18.7 Legacy Series / Update to 18.7 problem
October 13, 2018, 01:34:05 PM
After I've updated via WebGUI to 18.7 opnsense was not reachable anymore over IP, so I connected via serial interface.
The process stopps now with this.
What can I do now to restore the old settings?
Haven't made any backup before update manually  :-[

Got it working after I changed the installation from openssl to libressl and leaving all the other settings like before.
Only the connected since time is not shown correctly, still shown for example as 5453
