set kern.cam.boot_delay="10000"
boot

while on the esc promp
no luck

I can´t beleive how difficult this is.

Hi from your answer I could to get a little more of boot now it stays under:

Mounting from ufs:/dev/ufs/OPNsense_Install failed with error 19

vfs.root.mountfrom=ufs:/dev/ufs/OPNsense_Install
vfs.root.mountfrom=.options=ro, noatime

Manual root filesystem specification:

a bunch of help and then asks me to:

mountroot>

I have succesfully installed on the same machines I am testing pfsense and untangle, don´t know why it is so hard to opnsense to do anything.

Regards,

Yes I tried everything, linux, mac,pc,  rufus, win32diskimager, roadkills, iso to usb, tried the vga, cdrom, 32 and 64 bit versions and nothing makes it boot, it just copies the files, also I tried with several usb sticks, several brands and on different hardware, I am now using pfsense but wish to try opnsense.

I bought the msae machine and can assure is not the machine with problems, I tried to boot on 5 different machines with no success (amd, intel) it will simply restart the machine, I tried it all usb sticks changed, downloaded all images and isos, ran win32, rufus, roadkills etc and nothing the images will simply not boot, I can tell you that the machine is ok since I could install the other firewall with no problem, xpenology, ubuntu and windows

17.1 Legacy Series / How to make the usb stick boot

Hi I tried the opnsense vmware image and it worked flawlessly, now I am trying to put in in a baremetal cpu but cannot simply make the usb boot, I have tried to boot in different computers, different usb sticks and none of the images work, I have downloaded the .iso the .img 32 and 64 bit, used win32disk imager, physdiskwrite, isotousb, roadkillsdiskimage rufus tells it cannot recognize the image or is not a bootable image, I have downloaded the files from other mirrors as well, and even copied the whole extracted iso and img to the usb stick and cannot make it boot, is there anything I am missing? All of the cpus I have tried and usb sticks can boot other programs like xpenology, linux distros without any problem

Can anyone please help?
