Title: Outbound Multiwan
Post by: jmvelez on November 04, 2015, 10:42:41 pm
I have two WAN.  WAN1 is fixed IP and the domain is registered to that IP.  It is the default gateway.  I need to route port 25 outbound to WAN1.  Some emails are using the WAN2 for outbound and are being rejected

Hello jmvelez,

You should have a rule in your LAN section on top of the list (right after any deny rules if you have any) for LAN interface, IPv4 and destination port range to be SMTP for both from/to and have WAN1 selected as the gateway. This will ensure all outbound traffic from LAN where destination is port 25 will go through WAN1 regardless if its down or not. This means WAN2 should never be used.

I started taking a few screenshots of my multi-wan setup, but then it seems I encountered a possible bug where I can't set destination port by itself. :(

I have a video for multi-wan setup and this bug (https://vimeo.com/144761806 (https://vimeo.com/144761806)). At 0:42 I create a new rule. At 0:52 I select destination port. At 1:06 I save, but results are not what was expected. I try and edit it (at 1:20) and save it again with different port, but still no-go.

I have tried rules, outbound etc and set it on top and still have port 25 issues that emails goes out thru the second WAN.  My old router (a Peplink) had the outbound setup and worked perfect.
