Hi roro did you update from 16.7.14_2 to 17.1? on console?
Pr3p,
indeed via console (serial).
Greetings.
Wanted to do a fresh install of 17.1 instead of updating from latest stable. However, I can't find a LibreSSL image. Any problems to be expected when loading a config.xml from my LibreSSL install? Possible to switch to LibreSSL after installing?
AFAIK, but I could be wrong, there is only a OpenSSL installation file (ISO/IMG, whatever).
You switch to LibreSSL afterwards.
Importing the config file which has LibreSSL set should work fine.
But in the past, and not sure if that still holds true, you might have to switch to OpenSSL and then to LibreSSL again.
Check the console to see what it says on a boot. You need to reboot after applying the imported config anyway.
What weust said is correct: install OpenSSL, Import config, set firmware to LibreSSL if not already done and perform an update to the LibreSSL packages.
Hi,
I've also upgraded from 16.7.14 to 16.7.14_2 and from that to 17.1 successfully via ssh.
I only had to start the mini ITX pc I run it on after the first reboot because it shut down the box instead of rebooting, but that happened when I used reboot before too, must be an issue with the Gigabyte mainboard.
+1
Confirm easy upgrade via SSH of latest 16.7 to 17.1.
Platform is HPE EliteDesk Mini G1 with Haswell Lynx Point chipset.
