If you've found OPNsense to be useful please donate :). I'm not affiliated with OPNsense by any means nor am I a spokesman but the developers are working hard with daily commits to the repository. I migrated from m0n0wall to OPNsense and I've been very pleased.
Donated $25.00
I'm sure any amount you're able to donate the developers would appreciate it.
https://opnsense.org/donate/
Thank you, that's very kind. :)
Donated $25 too. Thanks to everyone for all the great work on OPNsense and for the help I've received.
Please consider donating if you haven't already.
Donated 10€. More to come soon. :-*
Looking for a little help here. (https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=2981.0)
Thanks!
Donate page only shows Euro. How do I switch it to US $ ?
RPSmith...
Just added an extra button for Donations in USD.
Thank you for your support!
Thank you!
Donation on the way!
RPSmith...
Hell yes I´m going to donate to this project! ;D
Are you in need of a mirror in northern Europe also?
Hey gh0st,
Thanks! We do have a fast mirror in Lund, Sweden courtesy of http://www.c0urier.net/ -- where would yours be?
Cheers,
Franco
Donated 20€
Donate usd 25.
Thanks again.
Cool stuff, thank you guys! :)
Just donated €100, thanks for this project and the great support we are getting!
I rarely support open-source stuff but this project is so cool, keep up the great work guys :) donated 20$ for now 8)
OPNSense saved my butt from angry internet deprived children so I just donated $25 just now as a small show of my appreciation.
Thank you minime, netranger and Nnyan. <3
Switched from pf to opnsense for around 2 weeks now and so far I am very happy, so I donated 10€ for now ;)
Franco, If you can help us get a certain addon/plugin developed for opnsense, i will gladly donate $100 USD. We already have the functional code, just not sure how to make it a plugin, submit it, etc.
Free money if you help us.!!!
Thank you SiD67 and MasterXBKC.
For reference, we offer guides on how to build plugins and free review for pull requests over at GitHub..
https://docs.opnsense.org/development/examples/helloworld.html
https://github.com/opnsense/plugins#about-the-opnsense-plugins
But that aside, since we don't know what addon/plugin it is we can't tell how well it will integrate or perform so we need to take a look at the code. You can share here or privately through franco AT opnsense DOT org
Nothing is ever free. :D
Cheers,
Franco
A donation worth 150 euros !
An excellent welcome on the forum, and a motivation to evolve the project OPNsense, the next generation is there and long live the open source !
thank you <3
Got my donation $50. And I will donate $100 for every installation I do.
Wow, thank you, dcol!
Thanks to everyone at ONSense for the great work and wish you all the best and lots of strength in defense against people making controversial website like OPNsense.com. Sent €40 to support.
Thank you very much, poupin! :)
I went for 100 US. Beside being one the nicest firewall distros ever, most important is the developers being receptive to input. I was happy to see my idea of TMPFS being implemented for flash friendly configurations. I first tried it when it forked. I also like that if you support your own installs, you get the full capability. I've seen lesser firewall distros only give the community beta and crippled versions.
OT:
Now that IPCop which I contributed to over the years is all but dead, I'm committed to moving over to OPNsense full time rather than just testing. I'm building a fanless 1.5U skylake firewall using a Streacom case and a six intel nic mITX. I need to have work done on the front panel. Going to use a white OLED 40x2 display. I have an informational display fetish but it's not socially harmful to other beings, I like them in cars and everywhere.
Hey Dave,
Wow, that tmpfs improvement was YEARS ago:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/opnsense/changelog/master/doc/15.7/15.7.2
Happy to see you're still around! Thank you!
Let me know if you need any help with the lcdproc integration. We will gladly review and fix core-related roadblocks when necessary. :)
Cheers,
Franco
The biggest issue with lcdproc will be finding a client that displays what I want but lcdproc itself can be setup pretty useful. It would appear that LCD4linux compiles for BSD at least on SF they show both the Demon and Tux logos. Here is a good example of it on a 40x2: http://www.ipcop-forum.de/galerie/setup.php
For old time sake, here is my Raq with my adaptation dubbed Raqcop running on it and using a perl script to drive the display directly via the parallel connection, the script IS the program. This script only works with parallel: http://www.ipcop-forum.de/galerie/davesworld.php I was VFD in those days. IPCop like Smoothwall, Endian and others uses colors, red=wan green=lan blue=wlan and orange=dmz. There is no multi-wan on IPCop. I will stick with that convention for ethernet cable colors when I get my next residence.
just donated too, this is a good project with a helpful community
Thank you opnsense team
GX
Thank you <3
Keep up the great work AND spirit here. OPNSense is not only about a peace of software, it is about people as well. It just feels like being home ;)
Donated!
10 € from me.
Private user here that just got started - still finding out if this is it for me. However, appreciate the effort and FOSS in general. 👍🏻
donated a little something too as a private user.
I like OPNsense and it works pretty good for me!
Thanks! much appreciated.
we added our 50Euro thank you donation. Thank you for the hard work
<3
I was a pfSense fanboy (yet never donated) for quite some time. Haven't touched it in several years and when I found I had a perfect use for it, I was disheartened with the direction it went.
However, I luckily stumbled across OPNsense and absolutely love it! Even if I'm using it for my home router on a VM! I can't say enough good things about it, so I hope this personal home user's $75 donation can help out a bit.
Keep up the tremendous project and I look forward to seeing what there is to come in the future!
Nice to hear, thank you for your donation! Let's see what 18.7 and beyond will bring us. :)
Hi,
I also made donation. Your project is wonderfull and I am using it now quite more.
thanks for your effort on it.
Thank you, Wyrm!
Many thanks to all involved!
I really appreciate all the effort that has made OPNsense a viable - and IMHO superior - alternative to pfSense.
Have a beer on me! 8)
Will do, thank you youngman. 8)
did a good thing too, thank you. I got away from creepy stuff like Sophos UTM cheap :)
Made a small dono of $20. I'll do this again in time and when I have more to spare. So small donation, but will continuously support.
Highly appreciated! Thank you thereaper and AhnHEL :)
Just donated $25US to the cause, as a token of my appreciation. It was not easy to set up at first, because I know nothing about networking, but this is clearly well written sofware and an active community. I really appreciate FOSS.
50 € underway.
Thanks for some great software and your dedication.
Thank you jds and pete. <3
EUR 50.- on the way. Thank you for this project.
I have trouble with routing, but am confident that I will learn.
BITCOIN or other crypto donations could be great too.
Thanks.
Very much appreciated. Thanks Xames81 and Aloist! :)
Hi, I have also just donated US$25. Well done guys/gals and I look forward in using opnsense in earnest!
Thank you, dreamerman :)
This was a great idea!
US$25 sent.
Thanks y'all!
Thanks guys <3
Just made my 2nd donation of $25.00 USD. Thank you very much for your hard work, I appreciate it!

as promised, donated 50€ more for this great software
thank you <3
Donated $25 for starters, since I'm just getting spun up on OPNSense - More to come once I get some questions answered and I can get the system online in my home. :)
Much appreciated, thank you!
now I am three years with OPNsense - and was never disappointed and still like it! ;)
donated a little something...
looking forward to the next three years or even more!
Keep up the great work!
Donated a little bit $15
thanks for this great software

Reza
New user here, been running OPNsense for about two weeks it is fantastic. Made a donation a week ago, have to support this project!
Thanks for being awesome. :)
A little something from my side. Has been rock stable for me for a year plus.
Thanks <3
Newbie, novice and no knowledge of networking but love to explore.
I was on Edgerouter, Mikrotik and then found Opnsense.
Very simple setup with only Sensie plugin for my home.
Learning little everyday, like my race car buddy told me his team's goal is to improve performance by 1/100th everyday.
Anyway donated some today. Keep up the good work!!
Does the payment processor accept American Express cards? I can't get mine to go through!
I expect it does, it's just a regular Paypal checkout, maybe they limit the choices depending on amount, but I honestly couldn't tell.
@meazz1 thanks for the donation, much appreciated!
Best regards,

Donate 10$
Thanks!
20€ from my side to keep the development going 8)
Thanks a lot!
Another $20 Donation to help. Thank you for the Unbound Plus plugin enhancements.
I just sent a small donation to the team to appreciate the great work.
Thank you.
Just donated to a great project and the great support we are getting! THANK YOU!
Donated 25 EUR.
It was time to turn words into deeds.
Thanks for all your work so far, keep on going!
Off course thanks to community too!
You people are awesome, thanks a lot! :)
Donated 50,- euro
Thanks for the awesome product!
Much appreciated, will be invested in coffee for sure. <3
Cheers,
Franco
Made my donation to the project. You're doing a great job. Thank you.
Thanks a lot !
Set up a monthly donation of $20, so $240/year. Keep up the good work, migrated from a decent multi site pfsense deployment. Upgraded all nodes to protectli fw6b appliances at the same time.
Much appreciated, thanks!
How about enabling github sponsor button? I am using it as both donor and receiver and I am pleased so far. One of the best things about it the extra visibility.
Fourth year now using OPNsense - great stuff!
I allowed myself to donate a little something again, like almost every year!
Keep up the great work!
thank you <3
I only donated $3, but it's monthly, so if you wait a year you'll have $36 ;)
I figure everyone has $3/mo (I'm unemployed, but still...) and if everyone gave $3 every month it would be a lot more sustainable than sporadic donations of larger amounts...
Just my 2 cents :o
Much appreciated, thanks a lot!

What a beatiful idea, I added a regular chipping of 3 EUR now too!
Go for the project :D
OPNsense is such a useful software that I was happy to donate something via paypal. Thanks to all involved!
Hi,
I notice that I am unable to make a silent 'statement' to my donation.. so i have to publicly state it here.
"I just wanted to say thank you for this project and the work that is being done here. I have been using OPNSense for nearly two years now and I have really learned and enjoyed using this at my home. Thank you so much and keep up the great work!"
thanks!
-Troy W.
You're all being too kind, thanks al lot!
Best regards,

as i was looking back through the forums (dont come here too often) and github i was compelled to donate as well.
i know deciso has income from their enterprise offerings, but hey... they are offering a great product for free, and listening and helping the community out, so the community should do the same.
since i've been using opnsense since practically the beginning and would recommend everyone this over any other firewall,
we'll go for the monthly donation here as well.
and since 3 euro seems to be the going rate, that's what we'll chip in !
Lovely, thank you <3
great idea, also put up a 3€/month donation instead of doing one time donation like in the past. Been using opnsense for 1 1/2 years now, on my radar for longer :) thank you for such a great product!
It so cool to donate how much I want and so often I want.
First 25 Euro on the way ;)
thanks a lot! :)
I am now entering my 5th month of using Opnsense and learning and enjoying it everyday!
Great community, great help and Fright, Franco have been of great help also.
I decided to contribute also and just donated $50
Thanks again to the whole opnsense community and people behind it and making it safer everyday!
Much appreciated, thanks!
Dear developers,
I considered to donate.
Unfortunately only you offer the PayPal method. I will never use PayPal.
If you can provide a usual bank account with IBAN, I could issue you a donation transfer. This would have the advantage for me that I can deduct this donation from my taxes.
Greetings
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
If you would like to receive an invoice for the donation, just drop us an email with the amount and company details and we'll send you one including payment details (IBAN).
Thanks in advance,
Best regards,

Done! I'm in with EUR 50.00
@liceo very kind, thank you! :)
I'm in for $25. Love my OpnSense (though, I'm having an issue with Unbound DNS crashing right now. Small beans to deal with though)

It was time to turn words into deeds.
Thanks for all your work so far, keep on going!
Off course thanks to community too!
And a year has passed, I support your decision to rebase on freebsd 13.
Another donation of 25 EUR to you, kudos.
Hello, I have been a long time pfSense user and finally made the leap. I was running pfSense on a SuperMicro C2758 motherboard. I purchased a Protectli FW4B (Willie Howe Special Bundle) with OPNsense installed and spent several weeks transferring my setup across. The only thing that I did not transfer was my HAproxy setup. Instead I moved that to a Nginx Proxy Manager Docker on my unRAID server. The HAproxy setup is like "apples" to "oranges" between the pfSense and OPNsense. I may look into it later.
Donated 25 USD. I am very happy to be on OPNsense. :) :) :) :) :)
Thank you ladies and gentlemen! :)
Just donated $25, great work guys!!!
A bit late but... yay... thanks a lot pankaj :)
I am now entering my 12th month of using Opnsense. Almost 1 year already.
I am glad I made the decision to start using Opnsense and love it since than even more.
I learned a lot since then, and still do, what is great fun.
For the first time I have the feeling of being in control, great updates and great community!
Keep up the good work. I decided to give you my 2nd donation of EUR 50 today.
Looking forward to the next update of 22.1 / FreeBSD13 what will hopefully solve the ipv6 problems :-)
best regards
Ramon
same procedure as last year - same procedure as every year:
a little donation for providing such a great open source firewall!
thank you!
@the-mk Much appreciated, thanks!
50€ coming your way
The fabulous work the team is doing with OPNsense is definitely worth it.
Danke & frohes neues Jahr ;)
Christian
Frohes (und gesundes) neues Jahr! <3
2021
I tried OPN, loved CE then bought a 3 year BE.
Also signed up 3 clients with their own respective 3 year subscriptions.
I'm hoping to sign on one more before end of month.
@yourfriendarmando much appreciated, thanks!
I will be happy to make a donation to OPNsense if MAP-T protocol support is implemented... :-\

Keep up the great work AND spirit here. OPNSense is not only about a peace of software, it is about people as well. It just feels like being home ;)
Donated!
Thats almost 4 years ago. Some time after my donation I got infected with a virus that caused a lot of pain, for way too long: its name is "USG-PRO-4". I later accepted the fact that I made a mistake and approximately a year ago I returned back and feel relieved ever since.
Today's release of 22.1 reminds me of the great value OPNsense provides to me. Hence I am pleased to donate again.
@you glad you're still with us :) Thank you for your donation!
I am planning to donate more. Help the Dutch economy :)
But AFAIK, there are no perks for the people? This can be simple/small things. Like a icon in the forums.
For truenas i once created a ticket to actually create a donate feature.
Done, $250, thanks for the work!
Thanks EdwinKM and HollinCH! Greatly appreciated :)
BTW, we've also added a GitHub Sponsoring page just now at https://github.com/sponsors/opnsense to add more options.
Cheers,
Franco
I've supported by buying a dec670 appliance.
Then I will buy a yearly business license even though I am not a business (makes more sense to me)
Thank you for your excellent hardware and firewall
I sent 25 USD out to y'all. Perhaps not much, but hopefully it helps. I appreciate all you do, and thank you for your hard work.
thank you both :)
I just activated my 8th 3-year subscription for a client. Just updated my first firewall and this firewall with OPNsense 22.4.3_1 . Keep up the great work OpnSense team.
Armando
is opnsense team considering taking donations as stablecoin in eth, sol, avax etc networks? then it would be really easy for me to make a small donation. also i belive this could attract crypto investors who are using opnsense as well.
Just made an urgent setup over the weekend with a ninth business activation. The last system I set up with ClearOS, fell, did to hard drive failure.
The system is back, with new drives and a new Firewall OS.
with love from Albuquerque, NM

thanks for your good work!
Donated.
Thank you for opening up a new world to me!
Just made my 3rd donation of EUR 50 for being almost 2 years with opnsense!
This year I made a lot of changes on my opnsense systen, learned a lot from the community and want to thank pmhausen especially for his contributions on the forums as for the help i received from Franco, Fright, Greenlan, mimugmail, tiermutter and all the others in the community! That with opnsense makes this all the greatest experience.
Just donated USD 25.
Thank you for the great work you do!
20 Euro coming your way, thank you!
Donated.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Very grateful!
I just set up small monthly donation, because this thing deserves it from all my heart... Not much but an token from my gratitude from awesome router OS I use personally everywhere nowadays.
now that I've resolved my issues, I'm interested in making a donation. What do the donations support (directly) and how are the funds used? I'm assuming commercial fees support commercial development and donations go somewhere else?

I love OPNsense, thanks for the effort going into this by the developers and the community.
Just sent $100 to support this work. I'm considering a subscription.

P.S. if anybody could help with my question (https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=34789.msg168520) that would be great!
Where are the crypto donation links? I'm 'unbanked' because of my social credit score.
@rossigee, maybe trying something like coinbase card with paypal or converting crypto to $ and paypal or other payment solution? I think there must be a way for you.
Donated 20€,thanks for the great work
I made the first of what will be bi-annual donations. The first and obvious reason is that OPNsense is now embedded in my network and, unlike for those products which came before it, I do not wish to have to replace it. A second reason is as an oblique form of recognition of forum members who assist others both politely and efficiently. Supporting their preferred product supports them.
I will donate if someone can help a novice user get it working.
My ISP modem is at 192.168.0.1
My Proxmox is at 192.168.0.100
OpnSense installed under Proxmox at 192.168.1.1
And I don't have a clue what to do now, because it's on different subnets. Please see my post history for a thread I created, and if I can get this working with your help, I will absolutely donate.
It's now more important then ever to contribute financially to opnsense, I have been protecting and routing my home network now for almost a year with opnsense and with the current situation at the competetor, it's time to contribute. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, we will keep doing what we love <3
I just donated 50€.
Comming "From the Other side", and finally having had enough of their 180 degrees turns.
Looking forward to use a firewall where one hopefully can trust the promises that has been given."
I'we used "The Other one" for 5+ years, and am working w. enterprise networking daily.
The tech stuff doesn't scare me, but a totally new GUI layout ... It's gonna be steep.
Just installed the latest OPNsense on a Protecli i3 w. 6 IF's.
And am looking around in the gui right now.
Any hints on how2 migrate (import) bits of the "Other" config into OPNsense would be much appreciated.
Especially my IP/Network & Port aliases would be nice to "import"
Thanks for your donation <3
I responded to your question here https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=36683.0
> trust the promises that has been given
To be honest our goal was always to preserve the open source spirit that went away all the way back in 2014. If we met that goal or not is to be decided for everyone on their own, but having a working build and source code structure with the original BSD license certainly helps make the case. ;)
Cheers,
Franco
7 years ago I decided for OPNsense, and I still love it!
donated 20€ ;-)
keep up your good and hard work!
Forgot to say "thank you"... thank you! 8)
Donated 50€ recently and have now setup a 5€/Month donation.
Thank you for your work!
I just donated $10. Thank you for this wonderful FW.

Added my bi-annual €50. A bit is better than nothing. Very happy with Opnsense.
my first €25, thank you for your great efforts and keeping it free as in freedom
Great product and great community worhtwhile to support. Another 25€ to the project.
<3
100. Thx for everything.
Added $50. Thanks community.
opnsense was Discord now!?!?!? Are there any firewall projects or vendors out there that have an active discord?!?!? Killer. I had to donate my $50...
What I need/want to do is get back to updating online documentation. I started updating the install doc but got jacked up with GIT again.
Thanks to the opnsense family/community!!
Thanks all, highly appreciated! :)
Just started with OPNsense a week ago and currently running a test installation. But it's already obvious that this is a great piece of software, developed and supported by competent, dedicated and friendly folks.
So I happily donated my first $50. Big thanks to the devs and the community.
Made a Support donation with buying 16x DEC2685 for our Branch Offices.
Quite the investment so thank you very much! <3
Cheers,
Franco
Sent, thanks for the app
Thank you for the reminder. I am very happy with your work, your quality and vision. I set up a monthly donation, 2 EUR per month is not much, but if many people participate, it is worth it.
$30 USD - ouch, the exchange rate!
It's hard to manage much more right now, but I'd like to at least say thank you with this and add more again in the future.
Every amount helps ship nicer things in future releases so thank you all! :)
I'm very proud how well OPNSense works with all the bell's and whistles.
Keep up the good work !! 8)
therefor i donated what i could miss this month !!
Stay Safe ;D

Donation done :-)
Thanks for your work!
Thank you a lot. ;D
Donated! Thanks everyone for your work and keeping OPNsense open and transparent.
It is already another year using OPNsense. 4 years now. Time for another donation of eur 50.
Donated yesterday, another great year!!
Indeed, thank you to OPNsense and Deciso for a great 2024 and looking forward to 2025. Another donation of $50 is on the way.
Thank you all for your continued donation efforts. Much appreciated :)
I have instructed PayPal to send five euros to the project every month ;)
With helpful people in the forum troubleshooting my configuration it is only fair that I contributed with a small donation. Thanks for the guys making it work.
Donating is great, but I believe a better way to generate more funds would be to offer a home subscription with the same stability as the business version. This would allow home users to access a reliable, well-supported version without the high cost of a business plan.
Maybe there could also be student or affiliate versions, who knows? Right now, I only see business subscriptions, which seem too expensive for my personal use. Would anyone else be interested in a more affordable home-tier option?
Quotehome subscription
There are advantages to giving people a target price. Another way is to set up a de facto subscription for what you think it is worth. As recorded in this thread, I was giving 50 EUR six monthly, diarised rather than automatic. That ceased when I bought a Deciso appliance late last year, with a future decision to be made when the BE expires. I am currently using the 25.1 CE anyway owing to an interface peculiarity in 24.10, but I have a workaround for that so will try BE 25.4.
Offering BE at a home price would create an enforcement problem. How do you know actual circumstances? Current differentiation between CE and BE is slim so it is not easy to see what could be inserted between them, unless the BE price were raised with some pre-funded support. Would that sell?
I'm fine with the idea. It is the implementation which has some difficulties.
I am not sure if this is possible for OPNSense, but a patreon would be kind of nice. That way we could make continual donation.
Donated $50.
Just checking. Is the DONATE link in the first post still the valid link?
Hello,
I edited the first post to show the link directly to make it more transparent.
Thank you.
Thanks. Done.
Done.
OPNsense is truly a marvel of engineering and deserves our support.
It is an amazing, high-quality product.
Thank you, devs!
