Zabbix agent log file permission denied

Good morning,

I configured the zabbix agent via the GUI. The agent does work and is communicating with my zabbix server.
What I want to do is to use the active zabbix agent to look after log files in /var/log....suricata...syslog and so on.

But the zabbix user created during the installation of zabbix does not have permission to read a logfile.

Adding the zabbix-user to group wheel does not work. After reboot the group-connection is gone.

Maybe you guys have a hint for me....

i have the same question. I will analyze the openvpn logfile in Zabbix with the active agent, ist there a way to make readable the logfiles for the Zabbix agent?
