PPPoE over VLAN's
« on: May 01, 2019, 07:06:11 pm »
Hi!

I have OPNSense 19.1 running with a Quad Intel NIC - 1 port for Lan, and 2 ports for WAN1 and WAN2

I am using WAN1 and WAN2 with Draytek 130 Modems in PPPoE passthru.

What I would like to achieve is moving my install to a machine with a Dual NIC - and use Port 1 for LAN - and Port 2 for WAN1 and WAN2, using VLAN's to route the appropriate WAN connection to the correct Modem.

I have setup VLAN 201 and 202 on bge1 - and set the PPPoE connection to use VLAN201 as it's interface.

I have setup VLAN 201 and 202 on my switch - with the corresponding modem connected to a port in the same VLAN.

However - I don't get a PPPoE connection through the modem?

Does anyone had any thoughts about where I might be going wrong please?

Thanks!

Check your interface assignments. Vlan, assign vlan to pppoe and this to wan.
