Captiva Portal: Exclude defined IPs from Login?
« on: August 20, 2018, 11:49:15 pm »
Hi all,

i have a question regarding the captiva portal where i need your support.

I have a captiva portal defined for 192.168.5.0/24. Within this subnet I have two devices which should be able to connect directly to the internet without a login page (technical devices with no interaction, cannot login).

I tried to solve it with firewall rules but this didn't work. What would be the best approach to "bypass" the captiva portal?

Thx and KR

Go to captive portal adminstration and edit your network.
You can put in your ip addresses in "Allowed addresses"
Or enable "advanced mode" and enter devices mac addresses in "Allowed MAC addresses" This works better for me.
