NTP time sync not possible from linux?
« on: August 10, 2018, 09:53:24 am »
Hi
I try to get OPNsense to work as time server for my network.
I configured the timeserver module and bound it to the internal networks (LAN etc.).
When I try to connect with ntpdate <firewallip> from linux I get the message "no suitable time server found".
ntpdate works when I allow port 123 to be routed externally on any public time server.
There is not so much configureable in the timeserver module, so I wonder if there are any incompatbilities with linux and BSD?
