KMS on OPNsense
« on: January 16, 2019, 03:11:12 pm »
Hello All!

I have a firewall that is running OPNsense in my homelab network. I was wondering if anyone could help me with getting https://github.com/meliton/KMS-on-pfSense to work? It installed properly on the machine, but it cannot seem to bind to the port for some unknown reason. This is what is returned any time I try to run a vlmcsd command in SSH:

Code: [Select]
root@firewall:~ # vlmcsd -v
Warning: [::]:1688: Address already in use
Warning: 0.0.0.0:1688: Address already in use
Fatal: Could not listen on any socket.

Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this issue?

this means that the process is probably already running and you try to start it a second time because we don't use that port internally.

Funny seeing illegal KMS Activators on Github owned by Microsft ;)

Please do not trust random binaries from GitHub that have no associated source code.
