Hi All,
As I can no longer update from the standard button in Firmware is there another way I can update and load plugins that I can use?
Many thanks.

It would be better to track down the reason why you dont see the plugins?
You can always install them via CLI:
pkg update
pkg install os-pluginname

I have tried to figure it out.
this is the error
configd.py: [f4cd07c0-2058-4d99-bdcf-b628d951d85b] Script action failed with Command 'pkg rquery "%n|||%v|||%c|||%sh|||0|||%L"' returned non-zero exit status 74 at Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/opnsense/service/modules/processhandler.py", line 481, in execute stdout=output_stream, stderr=error_stream) File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/subprocess.py", line 190, in check_call raise CalledProcessError(retcode, cmd) CalledProcessError: Command 'pkg rquery "%n|||%v|||%c|||%sh|||0|||%L"' returned non-zero exit status 74
I just have no clue why that is happening.
I can give the console ago though, maybe that will give me more info even if it does not work :-) Ta for the tip.

With some research I concluded the only way I was likely to fix this was opnsense-bootstrap, which also failed.
Now I am getting very frustrated with opnsense. It seems to be going out of its way to block me with everything!

For me it seems like a broken installation or you changed some files manually ...
Trust me, OPNsense runs fine for many ppl out there .. it's something small on your side. Typical error which takes a day to find and it was just a small thing.

Yeah it has been great until now.
I suspect that it has happened when I added the NTOPNG package as that is the point where I first started to note the issues. It looks like I'm going to have to install from scratch. Nightmare as I need everyone to be away for me to do that ;-)

Nightmare to manage or you don't like it to be alone?

Try different mirrors and the default theme. Suspect something is off that shouldn't.

I tried that, now I think that there are some elements of the system that are not there and should be. My plan is to wait for the family to go out and rebuild the box totally.
