What is the current stable release ?
«

Hey,
what is the current stable release ? Is it 17.1.4 or is it 17.1.8 ?
I'm a bit confused, since one of my boxes is already on 17.1.8, while if I attempt to download an image, I'm offered version 17.1.4.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Wayne

It's normal to download a version and immediately update it to the latest. All versions are considered stable with alpha/beta versions appearing in the run up to the biannual major releases.

Images may take a long time to build so they are only created for new releases, beta versions and if a previous version has a bug in a driver so it would not work or is not upgradeable for some reason.
