Proxy and Apps
« on: February 15, 2017, 02:25:48 am »
Hi Guys,
Finally I managed to get all the Proxy settings configured, everything works fine on the Mac as in the Windows growers.
we have one issue is our app on the tablets/ Phones are not able to connect, after disabling the Proxy the apps does works.
the apps are banking apps, while the proxy is enabled we can access the banking site, but the apps can't.

can you please point me to the right directions ?
Also in the office we have two smart TV, which we are unable to access the internet / Netflix on them.
I've add the TV ip to the unrestricted IP on the web proxy ( see attached ) to avoid the Proxy server but still no access,
but still can't access the Internet / Netflix.

much appreciate it .

You should create a packet capture and enable logging on the proxy to see what is going on.

already checked the log there isn't really something to troubleshot.
all machines needed the SSL to be installed, but we can't install the ssl on the tv.

You have some options:

* do not pass the traffic of the TV to the proxy (security risk because you will not see some traffic)
* use a custom firmware on the TV which can set a certificate (risky to brick the device)
* ask your TV vendor for a patch to fix the issue (takes time and may not be fixed)
* don't use internet access on a TV
...

thank you for your answer
we have create a separated LAN for the devices like TV, Phones ect... to avoid the Proxy, and we applied the proxy settings on LAN only.
thank you for your continue support
