Data warning when using 4G/LTE?
« on: November 19, 2016, 05:46:29 pm »
Hi all!

Later this month one of swedens largest ISP are disconnecting alot of people here in Sweden that´s living out in the country like I am.

In the time of getting fiber installed we been forced to move to 4G/LTE, but is there a way to keep track of this and also get notified?

Hi Pontus,

You can configure Netflow on OPNsense to send traffic data to an analyser and use that to report and notify.

Something like Solarwinds could do what you're looking for http://www.solarwinds.com/netflow-traffic-analyzer

maybe there is a way by using some kind of gateway monitoring with notifications if you use a multi wan setup in mean time and switch to your 4G connections if the other connection fails.
