LAN & WAN Interfaces
« on: August 01, 2018, 01:18:10 pm »
Hi,
I am intending to convert from pfSense to OPNsense in the next couple of days and note that the documentation says the LAN is auto assigned to NIC 0 and the WAN to NIC 1. The opposite way to pfSense. As I prefer to have the WAN first then the LAN etc, will the system allow me to do this?

Also is there a way of reading in aliases etc from, pfSense to save retyping?

Thanks and kind regards,

It's auto-assigned that way if you chose just to leave it like that when the system first starts setting up, you do get prompted to assign as you prefer.

Alias section only import should work. Just note that 18.7 dropped support for Port URL and URL tables.

Cheers,
