can't ping wan from outside. firewall rule created

Hi

trying to ping my WAN from the internet. I have created the following firewall rule in WAN:

Proto           Source                   Port    Destination                Port    Gateway    Schedule    Description   
IPv4 ICMP        *                           *              *                            *            *

But I still can't ping it.

Can't understand why.


EDIT: I don't see any blocking in the firewall log....

Fixed it: there was a setting in the router to allow ping's from the internet. It was off, so the ping never reach OPNsense.

Just as additional info. Turning on ping in the vodafone router just let's it respond to pings itself. Pings never reach OPNsense.
