install additional NIC
« on: May 05, 2017, 10:36:06 pm »
I have a running opnsense box running on vmware.  I added another virtual interface in esxi and when I rebooted the opnsense box it doesn't see the new interface.  Suggestions?

Have you checked the Interface -> Assignments page? You need to add an interface before you can configure it.

If there are no assignable interfaces, check the dmesg output and/or paste it here  to see if the second NIC shows up in the kernel at all (under System: Firmware: Reporter, generate a report to see the dmesg.boot output, but don't send the report).

Cheers,
