Reverse proxy, how to?
« on: February 23, 2017, 11:20:41 am »
Forgive this post, I'm sure you've seen it before many times but I don't see an answer thats able to solve this.

How do I setup Squid Reverse Proxy?

When I look at all the packages I see Squid, but how do I install this? Is Squid preinstalled? If so, how do I access the Squid GUI? I've been looking at PFSense and the package installation and GUI config were very straight forward.

Yes, squid is preinstalled but we don't use it as a reverse proxy.

If you are looking for a plugin, you can try HAProxy. Also the package nginx is without GUI support available. If you really want to use squid as a reverse proxy, there are some directories, where you have to place your configuration files in.

Thanks for your reply.

I'll have a look at HAProxy.

Our only requirement is that it support Reverse Proxy and have a GUI.
