NAT type specific issues
« on: January 10, 2017, 02:36:56 pm »
An issue we also had in pfsense.  We require an "open NAT type" for a host of gaming consoles (xbox one and playstation 4).  We can achieve this with a basic TP-link router by using upnp.

However, whatever we do with both pfsense and opnsense, we can not achieve the same thing, stuck on "NAT type 2".

I can see in the upnp logs successful connections, so the service is working.  Maybe it's something to do with the way it's implemented.

Hoping that someone here may have had similar issues/solution.

Thanks
