Rufus & OPNsense iso image
« on: July 29, 2016, 02:43:25 pm »
I'm having some trouble using rufus under WIndows 10 & burning an iso image to USB and gives the following error when opening the iso (attached image).

I'm sure I've used rufus in the past, has something changed on the install iso?

Hi Bill,

The amd64 cdrom is now a hybrid of legacy and UEFI boot, that's probably what throws Rufus off.

Can you verify against the i386 cdrom which doesn't have UEFI?

Cheers,

The cheecksums of the files are correct after download and I'm using ark on openSUSE 42.1 to extract the iso images and the i386 one fails with rufus and the same error message as well.

Huh, ok, from the commits the only thing that stands out is the change from FreeBSD 10.2 to 10.3. I will try to assemble a test ISO with the old cdboot loader...

PS: Is there a particular reason for not being able to use the VGA image?
