I have instructed PayPal to send five euros to the project every month ;)

With helpful people in the forum troubleshooting my configuration it is only fair that I contributed with a small donation. Thanks for the guys making it work.

Donating is great, but I believe a better way to generate more funds would be to offer a home subscription with the same stability as the business version. This would allow home users to access a reliable, well-supported version without the high cost of a business plan.

Maybe there could also be student or affiliate versions, who knows? Right now, I only see business subscriptions, which seem too expensive for my personal use. Would anyone else be interested in a more affordable home-tier option?

There are advantages to giving people a target price. Another way is to set up a de facto subscription for what you think it is worth. As recorded in this thread, I was giving 50 EUR six monthly, diarised rather than automatic. That ceased when I bought a Deciso appliance late last year, with a future decision to be made when the BE expires. I am currently using the 25.1 CE anyway owing to an interface peculiarity in 24.10, but I have a workaround for that so will try BE 25.4.

Offering BE at a home price would create an enforcement problem. How do you know actual circumstances? Current differentiation between CE and BE is slim so it is not easy to see what could be inserted between them, unless the BE price were raised with some pre-funded support. Would that sell?

I'm fine with the idea. It is the implementation which has some difficulties.
