Upgrade from 15.7.5 failed
« on: October 31, 2015, 02:00:55 pm »
Hi,
just got the APU2. Do to the reason APU2 does currently not boot from SD card I took a "old" mSATA SSD and started from there.
Now I try to upgrade to the newest OpnSense release I ran into the following problem.
Q: How can I force the box to upgrade?
Thanks Jakob

Why not install 15.7.11 and upgrade from there?

Thanks.
I do not have the adapter nearby to attach the mSATA SSD to my PC and do a "dd".
AFAIK there is no way to upload the img file directly to the OPNsense. Or did I miss anything?

Aah, I didn't know that was issue. I don't know the APU2, or any of those models, but it cant boot from USB?

The other question needs an answer by someone like Fitch I'm afraid.

The file is on the server, this likely means:

(1) no internet connectivity -- try ping 8.8.8.8
(2) no dns resolution -- try ping www.msn.com
