Trouble getting access point to work
« on: January 15, 2021, 09:32:55 pm »
I installed OPNsense. All settings are for now just the wizard default.

LAN interface (lan, igb0)
Pv4 address   192.168.1.1 / 24

WAN interface (wan, igb1)
DHCP enabled

The only change I've made is created an AP interface (opt1, igb2) and just give it a static IP 192.168.96.1 / 24

Then I put my ASUS RT-AC88U in AP mode. And connect it to my OPNsense box via LAN to AP interface. When I connect to the wifi I have no internet, and I can't ping 192.168.100.1.

Am I missing something in AP interface, or is it just a misconfigured AP.

Thanks.

You need allow rules for new interfaces. By default everything is denied.
