VLAN - wich NIC has problems?
« on: May 26, 2019, 10:05:43 am »
Hi,

I´m using a ZBOX CI329 nano with 2x LAN.

On OPNsense, I see the
"Not all drivers/NICs support 802.1Q VLAN tagging properly. On cards that do not explicitly support it, VLAN tagging will still work, but the reduced MTU may cause problems. "

Wich dirvers/NICs are not supported?
How do I notice that?

I often had problems with my networks in VLAN, so I m confused...

My Netgear switch shows following:

Port    Empfangene Bytes    Gesendete Bytes    CRC-Fehlerpakete
9       50930793              1520703772                    19781

I worry about CRC-Errors. Other ports have 0!
OK, maybee this are old values. I reset it and look.

Greets

Byte
