Help installing OPNsence

 I am installing opnsence on a server running 2012r2. The server will be a member server on my domain. Which download should I install, the DVD version or the NANO version? What is the difference between the 2 versions?

OPNsense is not a Windows application. It is based on FreeBSD and is usually installed on bare metal.

If you want to run it as a Hyper-V virtual guest, you need to pick the V1 VM type. Search this forum for related posts.

For both scenarios, pick the DVD version.

   Thank you for the information. I will not get a chance to work on it until Monday. I will uninstall server 2012, and install opnsense from bare metal. Let's see what happens.
