Default Configuration
« on: April 11, 2019, 04:16:35 pm »
Hi,
when I mess a configuration  too much I tend to do a restore to default config my PC sets LAN on em0 and WAN on em1 (I find this setting more convenient the other way around em0=WAN, em1=LAN).

Does anyone know if the Default configuration can be modified?

Thanks & Regards

The device names are based on the hardware and decided by FreeBSD. You could swap the cables.

Hi Bart,

thanks for the reply.

On a remote network "swaping cables" might not be easy and getting a DHCP server on, what previously was a wan interface might result in "not funny situation".

I guess opnsense loads a default config file. Any idea of is its locationd and if it is  possible tp edit it?
