Virtualbox and opnsense
« on: March 24, 2019, 12:02:36 pm »
Hi everybody, i'm trying to connect an ubuntu VM and another one opnsense(19.1) by using the "Internal network" mode of VBox but they don't communicate with ping and I suppose they can't. To understand better, I used also nmap to see if Ubuntu "looked" the opnsense but it didn't work. Just to clarify, I used the same procedure to connect UBUNTU and a Kali VM, they communicate perfectly. Is there something I'm wrong? Thank you in advance.

Make sure you allow RFC 1918 addresses on the WAN side of OPNsense. Interfaces, WAN, untick 'Block private networks'
