appliance stuck
« on: March 17, 2019, 07:36:45 am »
Hello community,

to my setup: I configured two OpenVPN connections and put them into a Gateway Group (GG, both Tier1). The single gateways are not configured to be monitored since I ran into problems when having gateway monitoring configured (probably worth another topic). The GG is configured to be used for one local subnet and the actual WAN interface is used for another subnet (different VLAN).

So far the setup is working, at least for some time. Then from time to time new connections can not be established using the GG group. I tried to tick different check boxes (e.g., Kill states, Dynamic state reset) without any change to this behaviour.
One simple remedy is to open any configuration page and click save without actually changing anything to the configuration and all of a sudden connections can be established again through the GG.

Can I upload logs or anything else to help debug this?

OPNsense 19.1.4-amd64

Regards,
massimo

Browsing the forums and the issues on github I came across https://github.com/opnsense/core/issues/2376. Turning off connection tracking did resolve my issue - at least during the past hours I did not experience this issue again.
