Hi everyone!

I've just received my INTEL Wireless-AC 8260D2W 2.4G/5Ghz 802.11ac MINI PCI-E WiFi Card that I bought on the internet.

The FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE Hardware Notes were saying it was compatible:
https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=iwm&apropos=0&sektion=4&manpath=FreeBSD+11.1-RELEASE+and+Ports&arch=amd64&format=html

Hence, I've tried to configure it with OPNSense, and YES! OPNSense loads and sees the driver correctly.
I just had to add the 2 following lines in /boot/loader.conf.local :

if_iwm_load="YES"
iwm8000Cfw_load="YES"

Unfortunately, the OPNSense GUI for this card hasn't already been created, so it is impossible to configure...  :(

When will it be possible? (I've tried with 18.7 & 19.1)

Thanks

The interface assignment is visible and you can add it, but OPNSense says :

The following input errors were detected:
Unable to change mode to Access Point. The maximum number of wireless clones supported in this mode may have been reached.

So, for now, I'm back with my previous AzureWave AR5B95 802.11n MINI PCI-E WIFI Card...

Thanks

Has anyone succeeded in installing a 802.11ac MINI PCI-E WIFI Card ?
