How do we chamge the forum color scheme, its blinding

I like the look of the forum, but, is there a way to change the background color scheme to dark
Its rather blinding

Lack of dark mode was one of the complaints when the forum site was updated a couple of months ago, as well as the silly giant banner image and other wastage of real estate. Sadly the feedback seems to have "fallen on deaf ears".

It was bad enough to drive me to buy https://nighteye.app/ , which works quite well, and has been useful for other sites too...
