When using the netdata plugin - it complains "1 Node is below recommend agent version v1.44.0. Please update them to ensure you get the latest security bug fixes."

The plugin is version 1.2_1

Same issue. I tried removing my netdata os plugin, and install manually. I somehow got version 1.34 of netdata installed through the shell, but I'm getting DBengine errors all day long now. They recover each time, but eventually come back. It looks like I may have multiple instances of netdata trying to run at the same time. Still working on it trying to figure it out. Netdata doesnt show up in my webgui anymore either.

1.43 is the latest Version in FreeBSD  and also in OPNsense

Ok thanks, is there a reason for the older version showing in the web gui?

netdata shaming itself is probably one of the funnier things of modern monitoring systems ;)

I see there's an update request here but as these things tend to drag on for weeks it's done when it's done...

In version 24.1.8 I still only see version 1.2_1 of NetData under Plugins. What's the problem?

The plugin does not get updated if just the pkg gets an update.

Hey,

I am running opnsense 24.7.12_2 and installed the os-netdata plugin in version 1.2_1. It appears that the version of netdata itself is v1.43.2 what the netdata cloud states as "outdated" in the GUI. Does someone know a way to get this thing to the latest version?

Hint in netdata.cloud: "1 Node is below the recommended Agent version v2.1.0. Please update them to ensure you get the latest security bug fixes."

Thanks a lot!

Hi
I'm experiencing the same issue, it seems to be severly oudated.

Would be awesome if this could be bumped up some versions to 2.1 to get rid of the security notice.

Thanks!

I get the following information in the release notes:

for systems and applications. It is a highly optimized monitoring agent
you install on all your systems and containers.
