For your dns-server [6] option, that would only apply to IPv4, and the ip address you enter would of course only be IPv4 ip, seperated by a comma if entering multiple addresses.

Last post by echoxxzz - Today at 04:31:40 AMThe DHCP options settings interface in Dnsmasq is a tad confusing.
You can select both a DHCP4 option and a DHCP6 option, but there is only one place to set a value. So which option does the value apply to?
For example, if I want to set the DNS servers, I would pick Option4 dns-server[6] and Option6 dns-server[23], but what value do I put? Is it the IPv4 DNS server than a colon and then the IPv6 DNS-servers?
If, on the other hand, you should only pick one Option type at a time, someone should redesign the interface to make this a little more intuitive.

There is no redirect options, DNS option in port, or NAT reflection options on the create rule page. The migration tool did not convert the rules properly for me, they break all functionality and I had to reset them.

Last post by meyergru - Today at 12:44:45 AMSFP+ slots support at least 1 and 10 Gbps speeds. Only some support 2.5 and 5 Gbps with a mode called HSGMII, which needs different frequencies.
Thus, the dual-slot AX adapter may support SGMII frequency / mode, just not mixed with another module that uses frequencies for 1 or 10 GBps (not withstanding that some SFP+ ethernet modules work with 10 Gbps on the SFP+ side and can adapt to 1/2.5/5/10 Gbps on the ethernet side).
That being said, I think 1000 Mbps SGMII mode is different from "normal" 1000 Mbps mode like what is used in an SFP slot - at least I think I remember to have seen something in the speed and duplex settings of my DEC750 ax interfaces, but I am not sure.
The Luleey modules is known to not work with a Mellanox Connect-X3 and maybe others. Because of the problems with HSGMII speeds, I have switched to external GPON ONTs with 2.5 Gbps ethernet - those work just fine.
At this time, I would probably go directly to an XGS-PON SFP+ stick - it should work with 10 Gbps right away and you can still use it when you ISP makes the switch.

Last post by CaskAle - Today at 12:15:44 AMWell, I must have done something wrong the last time I tried. I went back again and disabled the wan interface in dnsmasq and, this time, all is working. Thus far, no warnings in the log. I am going to mark this solved. Thanks for the assist.

Last post by cklahn - February 10, 2026, 11:42:19 PMIch habe die Einstellungen auf beiden Seiten nochmal neu gemacht und auf der Seite, die keine feste öffentliche IP hat, den Parameter auf "Start" gestellt und auf der anderen Seite mit der öffentlichen IP auf "None".
Der Tunnel kommt ca. für 30s zustande, bricht dann aber wieder ab. Firewall-Regeln sind gesetzt.
Woran könnte es noch haken?

I was able to resolve my issues and learned a great deal about DHCP, mDNS and DNS on Windows:
If Windows does not know your domain suffix (e.g. 'mydomain.home') because you don't use DHCP but use a statically configured IP address and you are not adding the domain suffix in your network adapter DNS settings, then Windows tries to resolve DNS lookups that don't have a domain component over mDMS, e.g. 'ping webserver1' (it will add the .local suffix). This will only resolve names of machines that are seen by mDNS. It will not resolve any CNAME's configured in DNS, e.g. 'ping www' will complain that the name cannot be resolved. However if you run 'nslookup www', this will resolve, because nslookup is querying DNS. If you resolve names with a domain suffix (e.g. 'ping www.mydomain.home') then DNS will be used instead of mDNS and it will resolve.
If you use DHCP or add your domain suffix to the Windows DNS settings then all lookups are resolved over DNS.

Last post by Boxer - February 10, 2026, 10:30:34 PMI would roll back to 25.7.11_9, delete your wan mtu and leave it blank, reboot. Then update to 26.1 and re-enter your wan mtu 1508. Maybe there's some shenanigans during the update
