I haven't see this failing on AMD microcode, but then again if you use the microcode please update your boot loader.  This is an OS issue that wasn't fixed until 15.1.

Well if it was using IPv6 IP it would still be a DNS issue technically.  ;)

Firewall should not reboot when these don't apply.  If you have a log that says otherwise let me know.

Not a DNS issue, but close.
IPv6 bugging out was the cause. Apparently the FW itself can't speak IPv6 with the outside world anymore hence IPv6 timed out.
Clients behind the FW have no issue with IPv6. Weird.

Already tried disabling IPv6, but I missed that there was still a default fe80:: route learned via RA that caused the timeout.
After deleting that route:

Starting web GUI... done.
Fetching base-26.7.3-amd64.txz: ................. done
Fetching kernel-26.7.3-amd64.txz: ............... done
!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ATTENTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
! A critical upgrade is in progress. !
! Please do not turn off the system. !
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Installing kernel-26.7.3-amd64.txz... done
Installing base-26.7.3-amd64.txz... done
Cleaning obsolete files... done
Please reboot.
***REBOOT***

Still confused how the FW rebooted with the last upgrade when kernel and base were missing. Don't suppose anybody feels like explaining that bit to the noob? :)
Anyway, upgrade fixed. Now of to figure out why IPv6 from the FW itself no longer works.

Much appreciated!

What I see are both Source NAT and Outbound NAT.  If they are the same, why would OPNsense put those 2 if 1 is sufficient?  I'm using v26.7.3_8 community version.  Though, I tried Source NAT, it was able to address some connectivity problem when connecting to my SeedBox.

Oh wait.  It's just see "Outbound"  there's no trailing "NAT".  Are they different?

I did many tests and there is no failure. AI suspected too much write on it, then I reduced rules log, rddtools and some settings.
Let see for next tests

Are you sure there weren't any radix issues when booting the previous kernel ?

I'm back at 26.7.2_2; same situation as before upgrading and see no radix issues in the logs. I will make a snapshot and upgrade again today and hopefully i'm able to get some more information to share.

Yes yesterday evening the warning appeared again. Does it have any changes on the functionality of the database if you host the file by yourself?

@franco: Are there any plans to level python up to 3.15?

Your SSD might be failing. Run a long SMART test. Also run a zpool scrub.
