Thank you, Franco.  After applying that opnsense-patch I was able to import my ACME certificate into the Trust store once again.  It looks like it has solved my problem.

Yes, that's the intention indeed. I think in the early days we had "there are no updates available" but then someone said they always want to click directly from the dashboard. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wenn die alte Hardware ausreichend für deine Zwecke war, sollte das auch reichen.
Eine deutlich merkbare Steigerung darfst du dir nicht erwarten, aber die CPU soll immerhin ca. 30% mehr Leistung bringen im Multithreading, was Suricata ja nutzt.

Beim RAM vergewissere dich, dass es ein DDR4 ist. Der i5-6200U unterstützte auch noch DDR3.
Der alte Speicher könnte aber allenfalls eine Bremse sein, weil er eine geringere Taktrate hat, als die CPU erlaubt.

Vielen Dank für deine Erklärung und Mühe.

Bin am Überlegen, ob ich mir die IPU451 (https://www.ipu-system.de/produkte/ipu451.html#)hole und den RAM sowie SSD aus der alten verwende. In der Hoffnung, dass keines von beiden defekt ist. Sorgen bereitet mir nur, ob die CPU ausreichend ist. Suricata braucht ja schon ein bisschen....

Ich höre nur so ein komisches, leises Suren im Gerät.

Das kommt vermutlich von einem Spannungsregler.
Das könnte auf eine Überlast (Defekt einses angeschlossenen Bauteils) hindeuten, oder auch dass der Spannungsregler selbst defekt ist.

Muss mal schauen, ob man das Board einzeln kaufen kann.

Das Zeug wird von Qotom in China produziert und Importeure sind in Europa selten. Und das Mainboard hat keine Standardgröße, soweit ich weiß. Da hätte ich wenig Hoffnung.
Am ehesten würde ich mir noch bei einem chinesischen Händler wie Aliexpress Chancen ausrechnen.

Eine Frage noch:

Die grundsätzliche Funktion des Netzteils könntest du mit einer 20W / 12V Halogenlampe direkt am Stecker überprüfen. Aber Vorsicht! Die wird rasch heiß, wenn es funktioniert.

Wie meinst du das?

Das Netzteil liefert einfach eine konstante Spannung (12V) und einen bestimmten maximalen Strom. Was es damit betreibt, ist ihm egal. Das kann eben auch eine Glühlampe sein.

Das Netzteil müsste 60W liefern (5A Strom). Die Hardware wird aber kaum mehr als 30W benötigen. Daher könnte man eine 20W / 12 Lampe oder auch eine 50W daran betreiben. Letztere würde ich aber keinesfalls in der bloßen Hand halten. Das könnte rasch Blasen geben. (BTW eine Halogenlampe sollte man generell nicht mit bloßen Händen anfassen)
Eine 20W G4 Lampe könnte man aber einfach kurz mit den Steckkontakten in die Anschlussbuchse halten. Einen Kontakt innen, den anderen außen. Die sollte schön leuchten.

I mean the following:

1. Download rate
2. Size of the packages
3. ETA
4. Better download progress

A screenshot sometimes says a thousand words! ;)

As someone who has used :
- FreeBSD pkg and cvsup+/usr/ports/ in the past.
- Many releases of RaspBian a.k.a. Raspberry Pi OS.
- Regular Debian.
- Ubuntu/Kubuntu/etc.
- Some .rpm based distros like Red Hat/Fedora/CentOS_{(or whatever they call it these days...)}

I really don't see the issue with the OPNsense webGUI Update/Upgrade procedure being as it is right now ?!
_{(Except for the fact that it shouldn't do everything on it's own and should stop after each step has been completed, but that's not a big deal and should not give you any issues if you read the Release Changes carefully each time!)}

But that does not mean it can't/shouldn't be improved if the team feels like doing so ofcourse :)
