no problem, glad you found it out.
It's a little weird DHCPv6 client spammed a lot of forks and consumed your RAM, maybe there was some unfortunate condition.
Maybe try to reboot and enable it again sometime to see if the same happens again.
If it does check your system log file (System: Log Files: General) what it does.

Memory usage isn't creeping up anymore. sat at just under 8% for the last hour.

26.7 Series / Renewed server certificate fai...

I use CACert as my certificate authority and have for years.
Up until the current certificate renewal cycle (e.g. annually), this has been pretty easy to manage.
With a fresh-off-the-electronic-press renewed certificate for 2026, I'm now getting a "missing CA key" message on trying to either update the in-place certificate and/or import the certificate /key pair as a new certificate.
Via command line on the box, the renewed cert validates - it's just in the WebUI that it hurks.
I'm sure I missed something simple, but what???

- drop the CA Root /Class 3 certs in `/usr/local/etc/ssl/certs`
- run `certctl rehash`
- install or update the CA certs in "System -> Trust -> Authorities"
- install or update the server cert in "System -> Trust -> Certificates"
- restart the server

I have just changed FTTP provider and entered new username and password. Connection is working. I have ordered static IP.
myip.dk reports the static IP as expected (84.x.x.x)
OPNsense dashboard shows WAN gateway address as (212.x.x.x)
With the old ISP both were the same. I cannot connect to my VPN now so I suspect something is wrong.
Any ideas please?

26.7 Series / Kea-dhcp4,problem. No connecti...

I've set up Scanopy to help map my network, and in doing so I had to spin up one LXC container on each VLAN. It works as intended if I let OPNsense hand out dynamic IP to each LXC, but as soon as I give it a static IP I loose connection immediately. I cant ping anything, and each deamon cannot connect to the Scanopy server.
I have the correct firewall rules. this is driving me nuts. any help would be greatly appreciated.
My ranges are i.e. 192.168.20.100-192.168.20.200. on each VLAN. I would like to give all the different LXCs .21 octa. thats when the trouble begins. any number I give it below .100 ends in connection loss. but when OPNsense hands out a i.e. .101 everything works as expected.

And apologies, I should have realised that. I tned to work these things out by trial and error usually.
I did find a whole lot of entries like the below, not very high %mem at anywhere between .1 and .3 but a LOT of them.:

but the output is not usable since the shell window cut the interesting parts off at the end. So make the window larger and then execute the command again.
Try to look for commands that consume a lot of %MEM, then paste their whole command tree.
Dont paste everything, only whats interesting.
(You can also paste the output into AI and let it filter the interesting things out before posting)
