QuoteAre these all PPPoE speeds ?
No, I was mostly showing LAN speeds between VMs (OPNSsense included)
My default WAN is 0.6Gbps but when I tweaked for these:
hw.vtnet.csum_disable 0
hw.vtnet.tso_disable 0
hw.vtnet.lro_disable 0
Then my LAN speed between VM increased to >16Gbps+ but then PPPOE wan decreased to 0.2Gbps

Hello, I recently moved short term to a place with community internet. I want to use my opnsense box and wireless AP rather than the community wifi. The provider is WhiteSky, I have plugged my opnsense box into the apartment ethernet and I am assigned a 10.198.30.158/22 ip address. When I try and ping from the opnsense box it pings successful, but clients connected have no internet. Tried both by ip and dns, and still no internet.

Running a pihole, unbound is disabled in opnsense, I changed the nat outbound rules to automatic.

Can anyone help?

This looks like a weird database bug. Vital flag is never removed.

Try this first...

# opnsense-revert pkg

Cheers,

Did not work.

Had to:
# cd /tmp
# curl "https://pkg.opnsense.org/FreeBSD:14:amd64/26.1/MINT/26.1.3/latest/All/pkg-2.3.1_1.pkg" --output pkg-2.3.1_1.pkg
# pkg install pkg-2.3.1_1.pkg
# opnsense-revert pkg

How do we fix the "Vital" flag now?

Quote from: Monviech (Cedrik) on Today at 03:39:28 PMDo you mean you want the linked firewall rules to inherit the category from the NAT rule?

It would most likely be better to create manual firewall rules.
But isn't that the preferred method advised here : https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/how-tos/nat_reflection.html#nat-method1 ?!

Quote from: vpx23 on Today at 05:27:43 PMThe only thing bothering me now is the very laggy loading of the new rules. I have a very slow system - Biostar A68N-2100K. :)

You probably don't notice it on a fast system.
IMHO that is not a slow CPU for something like a Firewall with a webGUI so perhaps you got a webbrowser issue ?!

Exactly same thing happened to me. I rebooted after that and it was fine.

EDIT: actually no. check for updates reports a segmentation fault for one of the packages.
