If the google thingy uses 192.168.1.0/24 you must change your OPNsense LAN to a different network.

AFAIK it's simply
# smartclt -a /dev/sdXfor useage via SSH like you would use it on any Linux/*BSD install ?!

For NVMe SSD's there is some kind of
# nvmecontrolor so command to view the same data :)

NICE!!! @ OPNsense Developers for not going with the "Everyone should use some kind of Chromium based browser!" hype :)

I am not sure what you are trying to do right now :
- Reach the Google Router in Router Mode from you OPNsense LAN ?
This is not possible because both use 192.168.1.x/24 by default as far as I can tell from some of the Google documents via the link you have provided !!
- Trying to get a working Internet connection while the Google Router is already in Bridge Mode ?

What does Google use for the Internet connection ?
Just DHCP or does it need a specific VLAN too ?

26.1 Series / Issue Removing Gateway Group -...
Last post by namphy - Today at 05:26:43 PM
Hello,
I'm currently running OPNsense version 26.1.2. When I attempt to remove a gateway group, I receive the following error:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot access offset of type string on string in /usr/local/www/system_gateway_groups.php:41
This error prevents the gateway group from being removed. The gateway group was created by mistake, as I only have one gateway. I can reproduce this issue by creating a second gateway group, adding my gateway to it, and then attempting to remove the group. The same error occurs, and the gateway is not removed.

I have two OPNsense routers, and I was able to replicate this issue on both of them.

Let me know if you need any additional information.

Error Details:

General Discussion / Google Fiber Brige Mode Issues
Last post by shactheorb - Today at 04:47:07 PM
Hi, I'm a bit of a noob with opensense, so sorry if I'm missing something obvious. I recently got Google Fiber installed and while I'm a big fan of it so far, their configuration interface is a bit lacking. I'd like to put their provided router in bridge mode and use opnsense if possible.

I set up an opnsense router and set up my WAN and LAN interfaces. Then I followed the Google Fiber bridge mode instructions, which is to keep the gfiber WAN connected and connect the gfiber 10Gbps LAN port to the WAN port on the opnsense, and then put the gfiber router in bridge mode. However, I couldn't get anything to work in this configuration.

(google fiber bridge mode guide I was referencing https://gfiber.com/support/en/answer/1924/)

Is there anything else I need to set up in opnsense to get this to work? Or possibly something I'm misunderstanding? Thanks!

26.1 Series / Upgrade Failed, signature inva...
Last post by The-QA-Geek - Today at 04:43:57 PM
I attempted to upgrade (through the GUI) from 25.7 to 26.1 just a couple of days after the January release, but got "failed, signature invalid". I immediately tried again and got the same failure, so I waited a couple of weeks and tried again today. Same failure - signature invalid. So I tried again today, and this time it upgraded.

I searched and couldn't find any reports of this on the forum, and I have never seen it before until this upgrade - is this as rare as I think it is? Any suggestions as to the cause?

Thanks for educating me. I didn't even think about bandwidth as a determinant of upgrade time.

Dutch - Nederlands / Re: Nederlandse Vertaling
Last post by MartinScorp - Today at 02:35:56 PM
