Warum sollte sie den fragmentieren? Sind nicht alle beteiligten Netze Ethernet mit einer MTU von 1500?

Hallo Freunde der OPNsense,

ich hätte mal eine hoffentlich kurze Frage zum Thema Normalization / Fragmentierung. Ich sitze gerade am Thema Radius WLAN mit Windows NPS als Radius Server und Ubiquiti Access Points. Solange ich mit EAP-PEAP arbeite funktioniert alles, auch wenn es durch die OPNsense muss. Wechsel ich aber von PEAP auf TLS geht es, nur solange AP und NPS im gleichen Subnetz liegen. Geht es aber durch die OPNsense spricht aktuell alles für fragmentierte Pakete. Bevor ich mich jetzt ewig mit dem Thema Trace herumschlage hatte ich gehofft ihr könnt mir mal kurz helfen:

Unter Firewall: Settings: Normalization kann man doch der OPNsense beibringen bestimmte Datenpakete nicht zu fragmentieren - nur wie genau stelle ich das richtig an? Für mich sind nur klar das wir von UDP Port 1812 reden sowie die Schnittstellen um die es geht. Ich würde vermuten wir reden dabei von Direction in und Destination selber würde ich frei lassen da es mehrere Radius Server gibt, deswegen nur den Destination Port 1812 angeben,

Ist das schon alles was ich einstellen muss oder steckt da noch mehr dahinter?

So the WAN "died", and then you installed fresh copy of 26.7? That's not really a good troubleshooting tactic, because now the issue (if it still exists) is reset.

I wanted to rule out corruption in the install. Also, as this was my first experience with OPNSense, I did a fair amount of poking around and playing with settings, so I wanted a fresh start to rule out any possibility of lingering config weirdness. And those are ruled out now, as I had another incident last night.

Is WAN router or LAN switch 2.5G capable?

WAN router yes, LAN switch no.

Even on 15.1 (26.7), verify EEE settings and look for events.

hw.igc.eee_setting: 1
dev.igc.1.eee_control: 1
dev.igc.0.eee_control: 1
dmesg and syslog have never shown any random events. Everything is associated with bootup, manual interface bounces, or other actions on my part (eg config changes).

Most people have huge screens, and I really don't see functional benefit in compacting things, and IMO, it looks less modern, more like a bare HTML.

I don't feel like spending money in these expensive times to buy one of those weird Ultra HD monitors that most people use with something like 200% scaling because otherwise they need to buy a 42 inch monitor a.k.a. TV instead of a regular 22/24/27 inch monitor with 1080p/1200p/1440p resolution to be able to use it properly... LOL!!! :P

Not to mention websites where zooming OUT more than 1 time is getting mandatory more and more these days because of the same "Scaling People" who don't seem to understand what they are doing...

OPNsense doesn't have a set Dark Mode, but it does have themes.

Since 26.7 was released that has changed : https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=52375.0

o ui: add "opnsense-auto" theme which switches between "opnsense" and "opnsense-dark" depending on browser setting

I started planning with U7 Outdoor, but I have not yet found any tests on the what actual area coverage I can expect in the open field.
