The automagical ISC -> Kea config migration did not eventuate for me, but your excellent and informative post helped me out of the woods. It was a godsend. Thank you very much!

Quote from: Jwidess on January 10, 2026, 02:16:31 AMJust thought I'd share my experience, I am running OPNsense v25.7.10 with ntopng Community v.6.7.260105 rev.27191 (FreeBSD 14.0), and disabling "Active Network Discovery" was all that was needed for the crashes to stop. Since I disabled this, the service has been up and running nonstop for ~3 days now. Before, it wouldn't last longer than 4-12 hours before crashing/stopping with no logs. I'm guessing this will also fix the crashes on the standard (~v6.4?) plugin version as well, but it's at least worth trying to disable this if you're having crashes with it enabled.

Same issue here

ntopng Community v.6.6.260211 (FreeBSD 14.3)
OPNsense 26.1.2-amd64

Strong CPU (avg usage 10%) and 16GB RAM

Ntopng process dies after couple of hours

Disabled this "Active Network Discovery" and testing, will see how it goes...

Visiting the Services -> ACME Client -> Settings page and just clicking "Apply" without changing anything else restarted the service, and all are green at the moment.

Checking out the router, noticed memory utilization at 46% instead of recent norm of 56-66%.

Noticed ACME, Caddy, Host Discovery Service, and Intrusion Detection were all "red" or "down".

I clicked "Run" on all of them and each started back up except for ACME, which remains down.

I may have to reboot.

Well I'm not sure if this would compatible with your network configuration, but this worked very well for me.

Good feedback here.

From three samples, only one claims to hit 7.5Gbps.  Two top out around 6Gbps, and at least one of those is confirmed to hit 100% CPU saturation.

I guess we can see the limit of the V1500B here and the published throughput numbers should be read optimistically rather than conservatively.

Development and Code Review / Dashboard change request
Last post by Bossybear - Today at 12:49:39 AM
I am using CloudDNS for my Dynamic DNS updates for the hosts at my location.
The Dynamic DNS section of the dashboard shows

custom
Current IP: a.b.c.d
Updated: date and time.

custom
Current IP: a.b.c.d
Updated: date and time.

custom
Current IP: a.b.c.d
Updated: date and time.

One for each of the three updates I am making.

Ideally the widget would show the Description field I used to distinguish one from the other.

If I've posted this in the wrong place please flame me.

I had a similar question.

Looks like there's no expiration policy at the moment.
