Virtual private networks / Re: 3 VPN providers but 1 isn't working, what's different?
« on: January 15, 2024, 08:57:20 pm »
Hi,
I'm trying to configure the OpenVPN Client for Surfshark VPN on my OPNsense but the internet traffic is not being forwarded to the VPN.
The OpenVPN Client is UP but I can't receive from VPN Server any data.
I have created a LAN rule to forward traffic to the Surfshark Gateway (dynamic gateway) and a NAT rule, but doesn't works.

Could someone share me a working configuration of OPNsense to connect to the Surfshark VPN?

Thank you!

23.7 Legacy Series / [SOLVED] Netdata issue after update to 23.7.11
« on: January 09, 2024, 08:55:47 pm »
Hi!
Today I updated my two OPNsense servers (VM) to the latest version (23.7.11).
After the manual reboot, on both VMs the netdata service doesn't start.

I tried to remove from the webgui (to reinstall it) but after pressing the Remove button on the plugin page, the web page doesn't load any informations (eg. the uninstallation log).
I also tried to remove the plugin from the CLI using the following command: pkg remove os-netdata and with this command I was able to remove the plugin.
I reinstalled it from the CLI without issue (pkg install os-netdata) but the service still won't start.

As a last test, I tried to start the service from CLI via the command "/usr/local/etc/rc.d/netdata start", however despite the output "Starting netdata.", the service does not start.

How can I fix it?

Thanks!
