Virtual private networks / Tailscale installation not succeeding

I installed opnsense twice on completely different machines. One was VM in Proxmox and other was baremetal. Both had the same issue. Installing tailscale package by following the instructions in: https://tailscale.com/kb/1097/install-opnsense/ resulted in the installation being stuck in phase:
"tun0: changing name to 'tailscale0'
After manually ending the installation (ctrl+c) I can authenticate tailscale installation normally but can't access web gui. There are no interfaces or firewall rules created automatically.
Could a reason be that at both times I tried to install tailscale before running first run wizard?

- How to access opnsense shell from web gui?
